The England international has been a key figure for Pep Guardiola’s team, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists in the Premier League this season. Foden’s contributions have been crucial in propelling Manchester City to the brink of a record-breaking fourth consecutive league title. Their fate will be sealed if they triumph over West Ham on Sunday, in what has been a fierce title race with Arsenal.

Foden expressed immense pride in receiving the award, acknowledging the honor it represents given the Premier League’s stature as one of the world’s toughest leagues. He credited his success to the support from Manchester City’s staff, coaches, and teammates, emphasizing that their collective effort made his individual achievements possible.

The 23-year-old forward was part of a highly competitive shortlist for the award, which included his teammate Erling Haaland, last year’s winner, as well as Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice. Notably, Palmer was also recognized as the Young Player of the Year, highlighting his impressive season.
